hybrid SPST switch |

SavannahLion:
This sounds crazy but.... Has there ever been a hybrid momentary/toggle switch? For example let's say you have a SPST toggle slide switch but push down and it's a momentary SPST switch? Been trying to see if such a thing existed. A bit like the car audio knobs. Twist for a digital pot push for the SPST. |
PL1:
How about a 3-position toggle/rocker switch with one position being on, one position being off, and the third position being momentary-on? Momentary-on is indicated by either parentheses "(on)" or abbreviated as "Mom On" or "mom-on". Amazon has these "Round Paddle Lever Momentary Toggle Switch - SPDT / On - Off - (On)" switches. Sigma switches lists "1N= SPDT on/off/mom-on" rocker switches -- no idea who stocks them, though. :dunno Another possible option is something like a 59071 Mom On-On-Off double pole ignition/start toggle switch, depending on the application. Kind of like a stick on an xbox controller? |
SavannahLion:
Thanks PL1. I've seen and used those but I was thinking something along the lines of a maintained on/off switch with a momentary push button in either state. I imagine the actual circuit would be something like a DPST where on SPST is momentary and the other SPST is not. I see hints of such a switch on Alibaba but Mandarin isn't one of my strong suits. Pretty much Behrmr but without the analog component. |

Got it! A buzzer on/buzzer off/momentary start switch from a clothes dryer. ;D Whirlpool 3395385 or similar. Scott |
