If I had some money to burn I'd buy out a failed sheet metal factory and go to town selling misc brackets and mounts to the community.

If I had the exact measurements, I'd fab them at work for cost for my bros here.

Today was the day of the Monitor.  I got the CRT mounted in my Super Pac cocktail,  and I started work rewiring Janky Kong and really securing the CRT in there.

Some mornings you're surprised you woke up.  Imagine Jessica Alba bends over and says, "you have 15 minutes to do your worst" and you have an idea of how that final weekend of summer went.

Anyway, a few highlights:

What's with the mice?

pulled the trigger on the rest of the appliances for my kitchen.. all so they can match the new fridge, lol.  Got the microwave installed, looks good, the rest will be here in a couple weeks.  Used another coupon for Lowe's and saved a couple hundred dollars, plus the labor day sales savings.  Of course, now that the appliances will all be new the last piece of the kitchen - the floor - needs to be done...  That means the kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway, etc. all needs to be done at the same time (if I want it to all flow nicely) and with my back and wrist lately I'm not sure I could do 500-700 sq feet of tile work by myself, so that will end up waiting, but it's nice when another long term piece of the puzzle comes together in your house.

The weekend was nice and quiet, with the microwave install being the only real excitement.  Daughter's away at college, younger daughter been spending time with her mom, and son has been working a lot, and the girlfriend been working days, so got all three days pretty much alone and managed to get about 20,000 more words done in my next novel.  Pretty chuffed about it too, getting close to the end (up to 95,000 words now) and the scenes are starting to practically write themselves.  Late last night I was waiting on the GF to get out of the shower so we could watch Ray Donovan and got on a scene and next thing I knew it was 2 hours later and my fingers were getting sore from pounding out nearly 6,000 words in one nonstop shot.  It's almost like going to a movie the way it just comes out of my head and onto the screen.  Days like that I love writing.
