yotsuya:
In Malenko's defense, he just calls it like he sees it, both good and bad. No pussyfooting around with him. He's always been one to help with parts, artwork, and advice.

At least, that's how I see it.
Vigo:
there have been fights between M and X2 in the past, but I am pretty sure Malenko has had x2 on ignore for a couple years now.
knave:
It kinda naffs my chuff to see all the fallout but have no clue as to what is going on...
dkersten:
The other day, Microsoft decided to start sending a 4.3 gigabyte update to all windows 7 and 8.1 computers, just in case they want to take advantage of the free windows 10 upgrade.  Unfortunately, I have 135 computers in 14 locations, most locations have a T1 for internet and 4.3 gigs takes a while at 180 kb/s.  This all hit on Monday.  Now I have dozens of computers downloading this update even though we don't want it, bringing my network to its knees.  Does MS care?  No, they want everyone on Win 10 so they can stop supporting older software (even if most businesses won't upgrade for at least 2-3 years), so they simply made it so the wait for tech support is many hours, and they are ignoring the thousands of IT admins screaming about all their bandwidth being consumed by files they don't want.

Looks like I have 2 options:  wait it out, or disable windows updates permanently (or until I have a solution to avoid this one download).  Unfortunately I don't have a full Active Directory network where I can just modify one group policy and push it out to all 135 computers, so instead killing windows update would mean contacting 135 users and walking them through it individually.  60 of them are on the road and are connected to the internet so infrequently this could plague them for months.

Joy.  I just love Microsoft.  They are such forward thinkers.

What do these things have in common?

You've never done anything to me, but you are a compulsive ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- stirrer.

I would say they all have X2 in common, except the whole HC thing.

X2 is a problem user, I have him on ignore. I am not the only person to have multiple issues with him. You'd be hard pressed to find a recent "flare up" between us thanks to my due diligence.

I assume by mod drama, you mean me giving my opinion that PL1 is a bad moderator. That was caused in part by your 3rd example.

Howard getting pissed off and leaving was none of the above, he left for medical reasons and PL1 publicly blamed me for him leaving and called me a tool. Scott eventually redacted his statement, admitted he was wrong, but never apologized.

So if by compulsively stirring the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- you mean putting a user that annoys me on ignore, and a bad mod incorrectly blaming me for a user leaving, then yes, 100% guilty. That being said, yes, I do mess with people sometimes. I often irritate people back. I think the good Ive done here far outweighs the bad. I mean genesim doesnt post here anymore and you are welcome!
