CPO feddback
« on: May 21, 2015, 09:03:15 am »
Hi guys.
My name is Ivan.

I've been reader of the forum for a while now, but it is time for my first post.
I am building my first arcade machine and I am to the point of designing the CPO.
I am uploading the image greatly re-sized. I will appreciate any advice you have.
Any opinions, suggestions are more than welcome, as I don't have the XP you do.

Just to clarify: I will have yellow controlls on the left and blue on the right.
The design is fully mine, so I can change every single thing.
Diameter of the circle surrounding the buttons is 38mm, joystick - 60mm.

Thanks in advance.

i like it, very unique design.  Only minor thing I'd change is I would fill in the areas betwen the button circles of the player buttons.
Does the blue on the right match your button colors?

I appreciate this Malenko.

The yellow is 100% yellow and the blue is 100% blue. I don't think they both will match the colors.
I was trying to sort the layout and design first. When I print the test I will have a look at the colors.

Any observations in regards with: is 38mm too big surrounding, is 60mm normal for the joystick?
Any button that I've missed on the CP ?
Thanks

Any reason why you have the Pi logo on there twice?

If you want button feedback too I'd say put a coin and start button for each player and perhaps an exit button in the middle.

I cant speak for size of the button surrounds, thats really something you'll have to see what you like best.  Maybe print out a few at varying sizes and see what you like best.

yots: I like the 2 logos, the integrated one in the back goes with the circuit in a punny way, and I like the parody intel inside sticker.

Well... if I have to explain it, there it is:
One of the logos is implemented in my overall theme. Will be on the side as well, as I am making my arcade with RPi inside.
The other one is more like a cocky type of joke.
It does exactly what it says on the tin. Tells you what's inside.

To be honest with you,
I am considering printing the colored Pi inside on the marquee.
Just to stay away from unnecessary colors on the CP.
Not sure yet.

Awesome, because that's EXACTLY what I was thinking myself.  Put it in the corner of the marquee and reserve the color/art style of the CP.
