So today I picked up the original roller bed. It had been taken out because the back as I had previously mentioned I think has been modified with more seating. It's basically a sheet of 5/4 veneered plywood that fills from the back of the front seat to the rear door. It has rollers on it to make swapping caskets in and out easy. I'm thinking of just chopping off the rear third to fit behind the back seats and stripping the hardware from the rest and trashing it. It's probably about 300 pounds, 4 1/2 feet wide and 10 feet long. I have nowhere to store that, and really no need for it. But the rollers could actually come in handy if ever I was a gigging musician again. |
