So the wife got me a PS4 for my birthday, came with Last of Us bundled. Seems like a pretty cool game.

What else is out there that's worth picking up?

PSN games I'd say Resogun and Geometry Wars 3. Resogun is kind of a new style Defender.

Helldivers.
It's dual stick shooting with a tactical Starship Troopers vibe. Really solid game and fun as...hell?

If you don't already have it Wolfenstein was excellent. Infamous Second Son is awesome.

Killzone looks incredible but it's a very slow and difficult shooter.

I've probably logged around 100 hours and $500 worth of chicken wings to couch multiplayer Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil edition parties. That's the only game I've preordered and paid retail for. No regrets.

I'd say P.T. but you can't get it anymore.

If you're into sports games, I've got UFC / Madden / NBA I'll probably never touch. UFC still in the wrapper. YOU BUY.

I don't really like Shadow of Mordor all that much but I'm trying to slog through it. Plays way better than 360 version.

Don't really like Last of Us all that much.

Don't really like any of the indie crap Sony's given us with PSN subscriptions. My PSN expires in a month and I doubt I'm renewing. Rogue Legacy is kind of fun.

If you don't already have it, get Assassin's Creed Black Flag.

Far Cry 4 was a pass for me if you've already played 3.

I'm probably skipping all the spring releases until this fall when they're $20. So can't say either way on Bloodborne or The Order.

Wolfenstein looks good, nice reviews too. Same with Infamous. Prices are good on both, too.

Might check out that Resogun, should be fun.

Initial setup of the PS4 was kinda a pain, had to confirm my email address to log into PSN, but they waited like 6 hours to send me the damn email. And of course I couldn't download Last of Us without signing into PSN.

Oh well, it's done now, lol.

Price on Madden and NBA?

I'm not a fan of blood borne. Its basically a strategy hack n slash game, which, to me, is fun when there are multiple ways to accomplish a goal. This game seems like it relies on If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball (massive scythe) mentality.

Yeah, I was one of those suckers that bought in to a PS4 real early so I got access to the Destiny alpha and beta. I really didn't care for it, but certainly has its fans. Lots of inspired and continuous arguing since the day of release.

Absolutely loved Last of Us. Well worth the purchase. I enjoy GTA V but I don't really have the time to get far in it. I also have Diablo 3 Ultimate which surprisingly, controls fantastic with a game pad. I actually like it better than the PC version. Sadly though my PS4 has been hijacked by my kids lately playing Minecraft.

The Last of Us is one of the best games ever released on any console, play that one through to the end and then play Left Behind.

Check out Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare, it's a shooter but can be enjoyed by all ages.

The Borderlands Handsome Jack set would be another fun game to consider (actually two full games on one disc, they are similar but unique in their own way).

Hm... not yet. I do have kind of a weird issue where the damn thing will glitch out and shut down in the first 10 minutes of play. Only started happening after the 2.50 firmware update, and it only happens maybe 1/3 the time I start to play it. Once it's crashed twice it's fine after that. Or if you can get back to the dashboard before it freezes. Then start the game again.

Hopefully "rebuilding the database" fixed it last night but I fear there's a cold solder joint somewhere in it.

Probably slated for a trade in if it keeps up, as Sony's probably going to announce a price drop or some bundle that's going to hurt the value of it at E3.

Quite annoying.

Sign up for their emails and you'll get a heads up. The awesome sales sell out in 15 minutes, but check about 24 hours later and they're usually back in stock. They usually honor the prices for 48 hours.

They really drive down the value of used games which is awesome if you always hoard everything you buy. Sucks if you try to resell your games, though.

Let me know what you think about alien isolation. I'm not letting myself buy it until I unwrap my copy of metro redux.

I played Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 for a couple of hours. Combat was so damned complicated I very quickly lost interest in it. I've read that's been streamlined considerably in 3. Single player games drop in value like a rock, so I'll wait it out until it's $20. Bloodborne and Witcher have already been down to $40, so it won't be long...

Been playing the Metal Gear Solid game. I bought the Japanese import about a year ago and didn't crack the seal until 2 days before Sony made it a free PSN game. Oh well. At least the system has been running like a champ since I've slapped it.

And here's a repeatable glitch discovered in The Order: 1886. Go to the part where you have to lift a sack of rocks up in an alley to proceed. Lift rocks. Jump back across alley. Drop to ledge. Shimmy so you're under the chicken coop. Stand up. You will fall through the coop to the bottom of the alley. Your face disappears and all you can see is bloom lighting. Walk around and you'll fall down an endless pit.

I can see why people were pissed but it's fun for $20.
