What would be the best way to make a Multi-MK with Raspberry Pi?

Just thought I'd see if anybody has any particular recommendations on what would be best for a multi-MK using Pi.  I have a B+ board, but have been thinking about buying the Pi2 (if it will make a difference).

I'm trying to find something that boots right up, preferably directly into MK3, but really just looking for as little front end interference as possible.

I know very little about the Pis, but I think the first thing you need to do is check and make sure the MK games run well on there.  Midway games really had some issues in the earlier builds of mame, and since that is what you'd be running.....  Also they take a decent amount of system resources.

Based on my tests, only MK runs in an acceptable manner using .37b5. You'd be better off using one of tkwarrior's PCs.

The Mortal Kombat games stutter along terribly with a pi someone posted a video on facebook and it was running so badly that it couldn't even run full speed even with frameskipping turned on.

CoinOPS is your friend here......
