Performance Inquiry of Star Wars (the vector) on RasPi
« on: April 27, 2015, 12:30:03 pm »
Can anyone tell me how well Star Wars runs on the raspberry pi?  I'm inquiring about the performance of the vector game.  Thank in advance.

On my raspi2 without any special optimizations or configuration, the following information comes up by pressing F11:

auto 0 100% 30/30 fps
30 vector updates

To be honest, besides it seems to run without skiped frames at 30 frames per second, I'm not quite shure how the rest of the figures should be interpreted (unable to find relevant documentation online).

Regards
Stefan

The talk on the RPI forum was an overclocked RPI 1 512mb running advmame .94 could run starwars almost perfectly.
There were some minimal slowdowns during certain parts of the game but not enough to cause any play quality.

The RPI 2 is faster and available for the same price so I can only assume it has to run it at least as good as that.
