I'd say go PC. You'll be missing out on tons of arcade racing gems if you stick solely with a 360, particularly the Sega Model 2 & 3 games. Also, going down the PC route (providing it's powerful enough) opens up a whole world of home console emulators (like Dolphin, PCSX2, Demul and PPSSPP to name but a few) and all the great arcade racers available on them. A lot of the games you can play on them now actually look a lot better than they did back in the day, thanks to the magic of upscaling and other graphical tricks. PC is also the only way at present that you can play the original Outrun with fully working FFB, using the Cannonball C++ rewrite.

Not true! I do it with MAME too, but yes, PC is the way to go.

I stand corrected. I didn't think FFB worked in MAME?

Smeghead:
I've been playing Outrun, TurboGT, WEC lemans, pole position etc on my PC with keyboard and as much fun as they are, I think id rather go with the upgraded graphics of the 360. I also already own a very nice wheel and pedal set for it.

I may well get a "standup" pole position cab for MAME/Supermodel etc with a PC in it, but this SF Rush sit down cab will be for 360, ive just about decided.

Are there some examples of real arcade cabs turned xbox360 cab on here? I couldn't see any just some nasty looking woodwork or metal framework attempts. I want to incorporate the wheel and pedals into the cab seamlessly which is going to mean detaching the shifter from the wheel casing and moving it next to the seat where the RUSH shifter is.
I'll post some pics when I really get started

If it weren't for already owning a wheel, I'd recommend the PC/PS2/PS3 route.
Easy to find Logitech wheels work for all 3.

The xbox wheel won't have force feedback on PC.
