Yes, I know it sounds like a crazy idea on paper, given that there was no hint of a romance between them in any of the previous films and series. But thanks to the excellent acting and good script, I think it worked. JJ Abrams involvment is the one thing that leads me to hope that this film might at least be watchable, and who knows, may actually be good. My main concern is actually the involvment of Harrison Ford. If he plays a small cameo role as Nimoy did in the Star Trek reboots then that should be fine. But if he is going to play a more central role (which sounds likely from what I've been reading) then I have concerns about whether he can pull it off given his age. Don't get me wrong, he was by far the best thing about the first three Star Wars films, and a very big part of me wants to see him back. But he's at least 10 years too old to be playing a leading role in an action film. IMHO, he already looked too old in the 4th Indiana Jones film and that was 7 years ago. I really hope I'm wrong. But I guess time will tell. |

Plus he broke his ankle the first day of filming. The movie was supposed to revolve around him. Oops. And crashed an antique plane recently. And had Alzheimer's rumors while filming Cowboys vs aliens. :dunno |
