I got bored and decided to play around with the ink/wood transfer method. I grabbed an old piece of wood, sanded it down, printed two pics, put them on the wood and put a layer of wax on top. The size is 48 cm x 30 cm.
The result looks pretty good, as always the camera doesn't do it justice, it's a little bit darker in reality.

Ginsu Victim:
I love it.

This would be awesome to do if you could find an older church relic and create the same process.

What happens if you apply some layers of clearcoat to it?
yamatetsu:
If I would do it, I'd probably mess it up  :D
The effect of wax vs. clearcoat would be the same. Both make the wood and the colors a bit darker and make the colors pop a bit more. In fact, the youtube-guy from which I got the idea uses clearcoat :

I just happend to have a can of the wax lying around and decided to use a bit of it. It is quite ridiculous how far such a small can of the stuff gets you. You could probably do your house with it and still have some left. Problem is, it's also ridiculously expensive and will eventually go bad if you don't use it.
