Old Version.... darn...

(1/1)

kk99:
Hello,

I've recently joined this forum and posted a couple of questions.  Under one of them, somebody recommended the book.  So, I thought it'd be a good idea... HOWEVER, I did NOT know that there were 2 versions of the book out there and ended up getting the old, 2004 version... needless to say... I'm a bit disappointed... especially on this kind of topic where things change so fast.  I guess there are still some useful chapters but I suspect the more interesting ones, the ones on the software and controls, will be pretty much obsolete by now.

I guess I can still find most of the stuff on the web... but the reason I bought the book was to have a nicely structured approach...

Anyway... I'm looking at all these categories up there... is there a link to a series of plans for vertical cabs? Something I can browse to give me some inspiration?

Thanks.

Meh.  The old version is still good.  Woodworking hasn't exactly changed over the years.  Granted, there have been some nice changes in the hobby.  The main vendors have changed, encoders have improved, lots of parts have gotten cheaper and/or more reliable.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
