Better call Saul. Season 1 |

DaOld Man:
Anyone else watch this after The Walking Dead last Sunday night? I also watched the second episode Monday night. It looks like a prequel to the "Breaking Bad" series. I was a little confused until I figured that out. This looks promising, especially if you liked the Breaking Bad run. The guy in the parking fee booth: I wonder if he is the same character he was in Breaking Bad? Thats what confused me until I realized this is a prequel. That character got killed in Breaking bad. |

I'm liking it a little better than Breaking Bad so far. Saul is just hilarious and the show doesn't seem quite as dark as BB. The parking lot guy is the same guy. The guy whose grandma he tries to scam was also in BB. Even Saul's mall job in the opening episode was talked about in BB. This is how you do a prequel. |

I was thinking that. But wasn't sure. I need to go back and watch BB on Netflix, but it would take a week of non stop watching to catch it all. |

That character got killed in Breaking bad. --- End quote --- The opening scene where he was working at Cinnabon is after Breaking Bad. (I had to look this up because I didn't remember it), here's what I found: --- Quote ---The last time we saw Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad — in the penultimate episode, "Granite State" — he set Walter White up with a fixer who can erase your identity and give you a brand-new one. And Saul was signing up, too: "If I'm lucky, a month from now, best-case scenario, I'm managing a Cinnabon in Omaha." --- End quote --- That's why you hear him watching old "Better Call Saul" commercials on tape afterwards. I think the rest of what they've shown so far is pre-Breaking Bad. The guy in the parking booth is Mike. There was one other character from BB too, one of Tuco's henchmen, No-Doze (the one that "clarified" something Tuco said that made him mad...he did that in Breaking Bad out in the junkyard when Walt and Jesse were making a deal with Tuco and the Tuco beat him to death.) Knowing how Vince Gilligan skipped around with the timeline on Breaking Bad quite a bit, I imagine he'll do the same on this one. Liking the show so far and will keep watching. I wonder if we'll see Tuco's bell-ringing uncle Tio? ;D |
