Are you planning on using a switched IEC inlet to apply power to your system?
Type 1:
Pros - Small footprint, mounting screw holes, easy to wire to a switched IEC inlet, and it is automatically on when power is applied.
Cons - Taller profile exerts greater torque on mounting screws if the upper part of the PSU is bumped sideways.
Type 2:
Pros - Lower profile, easy to wire to a switched IEC inlet, and it is automatically on when power is applied.
Cons - Looks like there's one mounting screw hole in the front and several on the side. Is there one in the back? May need to add L-brackets or plumbing strap to mount it securely.
Type 3:
This type of PSU seems like overkill.
If the cables are missing, I wouldn't invest the time/effort. YMMV.
