| Ground wire for Button 2 on light gun |

Hi guys, This is probably a dumb question, but I just want to make sure that I will be OK in doing this: I bought 2 AimTrak modules and put them in two Unico clacker guns. The guns are great, but only have a trigger (no alt button like a GunCon, or GunZ lightgun). In the effort of simplicity, I am just going to wire the "Button 2" wire from the Aimtrak module to a foot pedal for games which need a second button to reload/bomb/duck (like T2, CarnEvil, Time Crisis, etc). My question is, since the metal tubing I have which connects the Gun to my cab only is too narrow to fish down 2 wires (one from the AimTrak module, and one for the ground). In the AimTrak documentation, it says that the Button 2 wire must be wired to the Aimtrak ground pin (like i did for the trigger function). However, can I just ground the wire to the foot pedal itself? Or some other ground? Do I have to use the ground pin supplied on the AimTrak module? Thanks! Tyler |

I am not 100% sure but I don't think it will work that way,I think the button will have to have the ground wire run back and connect to the aimtrak common ground.You could use a 3.5mm female jack on the bottom of the gun handle,and pedal,then use a 3.5mm audio wire that connects from the gun, to the pedal when you need it. |

It should work, just connect the other switch contact to the PC casing. There would be a ground path to the gun via the USB cable. Andy |
