Thanks guys, it was a lot of fun to build and I've been having a lot of fun playing it as well, although I realize just how bad I suck at Robotron now.  :banghead:

Here is the sketchup file in case anybody wanted to make one, I was looking at it and you could easily put a 10" display vertically in here, and maybe even an 11.6" or 12", and make a nice little shmup cabinet.

My Projects:
MisSpent Youth a Vigolix bartop,  Little Bastard a rotating tablet/display bartop,
Pin-Dog a mini pin-cab on vpforums.org  Star Wars a wedgehead pincab on vpinball.com

Thanks.

I figured out afterward that I put the space in your name in the wrong spot, was making the video at the cabin where there is no internet.  :(  Like I said in the Automated Projects thread, without your script to make this rotate I wouldn't have done it at all.

So today I received an awesome gift from a coworker.  Thinking of mounting one to the joystick shaft just for fun.  I have no taps, but I'm sure I'll figure out something to attach the tap handles to.

That's a nice little getup. How big/heavy a monitor do you think the rotation hardware can support? It seems to handle that little 7" okay, but can it spin a 10 pound monitor?

Highly unlikely with what I used.  Would need a stronger servo for sure, and maybe a totally different setup.  I had to be pretty careful with the cables or it would get hung up, and had to give it enough momentum to get past that, took some trial and error.  The bearing support system could handle it if you doubled up the bearings, one on either side of the support board.  i have a 8" version of that tablet as well that I've thought of trying to squeeze in there and I think it could handle that, but at the moment I'm mostly doing pinball, bought my first real one in jan, now have 3, and also making and playing vp tables.
