Driving sim w/ motion project

First of all, I LOVE craigslist! This is what I got today for only $100!!!!  I bought it off a 20 something y/o girl who had no idea what it was worth. Guessing is was an ex-boyfriends?? Anyway, I got the "Montoya" themed Playseat AND Logitech G27 setup. All together, worth over $1000USD! I plan to get the Playseat Motion whenever it comes out, to help make a motion sim experience! http://www.playseatstore.com/motion.html  It is a bit pricey, so I am still toying with the idea of building my own platform, just like this guy: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/2dof-motion-base-for-playseat.5976/

I want 2DoF motion so bad, especially now that Oculus Rift seems to get closer to a final product, but I have no idea how to build or gather the parts for such a project?? So, thanks for putting the Playseat motion on my radar. It seems to be the least expensive choice out there right now, for a finished consumer product.

Wow, looking at the parts his can be done for 25% of the cost of the playseat motion platform  :o

I might have a try at this at some point. Have some other projects I want to finish first.
