absolutely - I get it now - THANK YOU !!!
(being busy at work is awesome huh - lol)
I am happy to 'break some eggs spend some dough and play' - I am happy and content when tinkering but admittedly so I am so brand new to all this I am not ashamed to admit that I am at a zero knowledge level ... Sounds like you guys all have some great info ... I am reading through posts and trying to understand ... and as I read I am like HUH LOl as I don't even have a base yet !
that might be the way to go - 'wired xbox controller', hack into the arcade pots if not spend $3 on a 10k radioshack pot and see what it does. and that way I have both PC and xbox covered because the uHID seems like a no brainer so far !

in an effort to keep this thread up to date and relevant - found this link and it has the exact part number for pots as the ones identified in the MANX tt DX manual. $22.50 each!

Maybe some others here might be able to tell if its a 'normal' 'regular' pot or if there is anything special to them .. ??????

Found this site that offers custom POTS - in case any one needs them

If you want your sega cabinet to be interfaced both with a pc or xbox360 the best way to go is to hack a (non wireless) xbox 360 controller. You only need to replace the 5kohm pot of your sega weel with a 10kohm, single turn, linear, 6 mm in diameter potentiometer and connect it in place of the X axis pot in the controller. I reported how to do that >>here<<.
This rig is working fine with my racing cab ;)
