Yep, I have a wii all setup on a CRT and would not mind adding a mod to my original game cube.

I think the ODE is meant for people who collect consoles that want to a) still fire up the console occasionally, b) prevent wear and tear on the optical drive, and c) want a solution that bypasses having to use the Action Replay disk every time. For $80, it's not too painful. If you just want to play GC games, a hacked Wii is definitely the way to go...

That wasn't my point.  My point was the cost is actually $130 minimum because you'll need a hdmi adapter.  It'd be more reasonable at half the price.
