I took it as "1 set of characters from something" vs "another set of characters from something else" Not just head to head fighting games.

There is a sublink on that page for Capcom Vs, I should have linked directly to that one, sloppy on my part.

Malenko:
yeah but capcom wasnt the only VS game maker :)
That's why I put MK vs DC and Smash Brothers up there, but yeah, they were/are console games. I also assumed you didnt want stuff like SNK VS Capcom Card Fighter's Clash. Just added Fighters Megamix, cant believe I forgot that one. You can fight as the Hornet Car from Daytona USA!
horizon:
SNK vs Capcom was a non card game that SNK put out. There is also SNK SVC chaos.
Thanks for the insight guys

No there isnt, they are the same game. There is no "non SVC Chaos version" of SNK vs Capcom.

SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos (the arcade game, also ported to PS2 and XBOX) Game came on both stand alone JAMMA boards and as a NeoGeo Cart.
SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS (Card Fighter Clash sequel on Nintendo DS
Everything else was released by Capcom: (just listing the vs SNK stuff below)
Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 - Naomi powered arcade game, ported to Dreamcast
