Yeah.  Twisted Quarter is a little over the top.  I was going to go with them but I found a local shop here in the Mitt that sold only nuts and bolts.  Had exactly what I needed.  And I ended up paying way under what Twisted Quarter and Mikes Arcade was charging.

If you want to clean that CPO, I recommend Taski Profi. It'll make old ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- look brand new.

Either way, you'll need some at some point down the road. You're still in the early stages of the disease... >:D

The DK button holders are pretty ingenious.  I modified a couple for my coin door.  Good upgrade to your test box.  What are the dimensions on it?

I'm looking for the matching plunger for that yellow Nintendo "Red Tent" button you can see in the above picture. That, or a full yellow button in decent/salvageable shape. If you happen to have one you're willing to part with, please let me know.  ;D

Please make sure you send him some lube when you mention your price.

How much did it run if you don't mind me asking.  I had to buy a used one when I needed it.  Could not find a repro.  Guess I didn't look hard enough.   :dunno

I need to track down a DK3 metal CP as well. but that should be a bit more easy to find. I already know where there is one, just getting the guy to sell it and ship it.  :D

There's 1 on Ebay currently in decent shape and partially populated (missing the Sprint button) @ $89 + $20 Shipping Buy it now pricing ( You might try an offer to get it a bit cheaper ) - ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/DONKEY-KONG-3-Nintendo-ORIG-CONTROL-PANEL-UNTESTED-L-K-/251841818849?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa2f130e1 )

Here's a thought. JAMMA this and delicate it to the ArcadeSD as planned, with the WG monitor (when i get it fixed...). Then use all the Nintendo electronic guts and Sanyo Monitor for that dedicated Mario Bros wide body "Tully Style" Cabaret i want to build next.

 :D

Nice pick up.

I'm not sure the Tully Style would work for a Two-Player game. The viewing angle and spacing is such that it works best for a one player setup. Games with horizontal monitors almost never have a cab that drops them so far back, but rather has them tilted up. If you wanted a two-player cabaret, look at the Asteroids Deluxe design.

If I were you, I'd use that DK cab you have as a template for building a new Nintendo cab. You can do it, I have faith, bro.

Hey Chance.  If you refinish this at any point do me a favor and save me a couple of the blue paint chips if any fall off.  I want to go to the Depot and see if I can get a color match of the original paint color.  I know on my build there was some skepticism on how close I was to the original and I want to see how far I was off.
