| Issue with rotating monitor and centering inside cabinet |

I have been working for the last year on and off on my first arcade cabinet and I wanted to make it as versatile as possible since it will be likely "the one and only". I have been working on the rotating monitor and having a few issues with alignment. I have the HP2065 monitor. I have it where in horizontal the monitor is lined up perfectly in the cabinet. However when I rotate the monitor to vertical position the monitor is about 5/8 inch off to one side with respect to the cabinet shell. I did notice the VESA mount on this particular monitor is about 1/2" lower from being in perfect center. I didn't know if this was the issue or if anyone else had experienced centering issues when rotating their monitor. Thanks for a great forum and community. I look forward to any insight, and I am su :)re I will have more questions as I progress.. :) |

Simple solution, rotate it back to normal position, raise (or lower?) the monitor 5/8". Fixed. |

I guess I was thinking if I moved the monitor to the left in vertical position then rotated back to horizontal, then horizontal will not be centered. I don't think there is a solution as much as I was wondering if anyone had ran into this issue before. I think for the most part it will be in horizontal orientation for 70 percent of the time so I am focusing on that. |

Thanks for the input, I will try to lower or raise the monitor in horizontal and see how that affects the vertical position. |

you have inspired me to invent something, passing the idea over to Haruman now  |
