PSA: Stop using Raspberry Pis; they're not fast enough for MAME

bulbousbeard:
If you want a small form factor, get an i5 NUC. It's actually fast enough to run MAME properly.

Lol.

If we were being serious here, the alternative to the raspi is a mk808 with a price tag of $45.

Intel NUCs are good for bare metal hyper visors not Mame rigs.  Especially at over $380.

Dude, that's like $450 bucks shipped to my door and I still need an OS. Give your head a shake, some of us are happy with playing 10 classics at full speed for $50 and don't give a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- about the rest. There is no argument here...move along. :banghead:

Think you'd have a hard time convincing 2084 since almost all of his wall mounted units use them and they function just fine !! (Thread Link : http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,141265.msg1461909.html#msg1461909 )

Stop using regular milk; it's not delicious enough for your Frankenberries.

If you want delicious milk, get Tuscan whole milk. It's actually delicious enough to enjoy your cereal properly.
