I would try asking at KLOV. By some amazing coincidence Roadblasters was the "MACHINE OF THE MOMENT" when I just checked there home page.

thats a totally different game. Road Blaster is a Data East laserdisc game. Roadblasters is an Atari System 1 game.

that being said, KLOV is much better at assisting with board and monitor problems than BYOAC.

Thanks all for your input.

Yeah I have feelers out at multiple sites for help.

What's funny is even the people who normally fix System 1 games are hesitant to touch these boards bc they are different from the upright boardsets.

I am still trying to troubleshoot them myself but only have a DMM and logic probe.  :(

matsadona:

Is there any sound?
Any kind of reaction to (coin) input?
Does the monitor look the same if you unplug the video input?
Did you measure the 5V at any of the chips at the board, or the harness/cpu?
Are there any (ribbon)cables between different boards that might be reseated/checked/replaced?

Somethings might be obvious and tested by you, but since they are not listed I just want to make sure rather than assume. Nothing personal.

Crackle in speakers when vol is adjusted but nothing else.

Coin mechs are disabled bc they are powered from a 2nd audio board
that is currently missing from the game.

This is one I have not tried yet, I will give it a shot.

Yes, checked at chips and board overall.

Are there any (ribbon)cables between different boards that might be reseated/checked/replaced?
Yes.  There are 3 that I removed and reconnected.

Somethings might be obvious and tested by you, but since they are not listed I just want to make sure rather than assume. Nothing personal.

Thanks for the suggestions!  I have updated your list above.
