| J-Pac Jamma & MAME? |

I'm looking to build a cabinet for my own use. What I was wondering is it possible to wire J-PAC for both JAMMA on a PCB and MAME on a PC. I'll lay out an example for you so what I'm asking will make sense. I'm a Neo Geo fan and I was wanting to wire in the MVS PCB (if you're not familiar the MVS supports JAMMA.) As well as have a PC in the cab for MAME. Would this at all be possible in anyway? I'm just trying to plan this out the best I can before starting my project trying to get as much information as possible. Looked around and haven't seen this done was just a thought of mine. Thanks for reading and if you reply thanks for your time. :) |

you would just take the jamma loom off the jpac and plug it into the neogeo mobo, or use a 2 in 1 switcher. EDIT: Why not just run the neogeo games in mame? |

Look for a "jamma switcher". |

Make sure your JAMMA connector is keyed if you're going to be unplugging and replugging it from a PCB to a JPAC. |

Ask chopperthedog about his DIY relay switcher: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,130607.msg1360048.html#msg1360048 He's running a PC and JAMMA (for his JROK Multi-Williams), and switches between the two. I've yet to try this myself, but I plan on giving it a shot in the future. Just be mindful, MVS Jamma has a few slight additions to the pinout: |
