I am 0% purist. I just want to play my games, and have decided to just build a computer to run everything, and have 4 wired controllers attached. I plan on fixing them to the case so they can't be unplugged and lose their ID's so that once the initial setups are done there should in theory be minimal hassle. I haven't decided on the controllers yet, but am in no rush. Just been acquiring roms and emulators so far.
I was always a few years behind on consoles, and often had older consoles that were rare and didn't really know any better. Plus I had games nobody else did, and that was cool
I had the atari Jaguar, 3d0, 32x... but I plan on putting the sega cd, genesis, snes, n64, nes, and there's a few others I can't think of right now.
I read in another thread that n64 emulation isn't up to snuff yet, but in my experience there hasn't been many issues I haven't resolved. Same with 3d0, but Jaguar emulation is still buggy. Still, the games I am most interested in on the jag seem to work. I really hoped for c64 but it looks like it'd be way too much work. It'll be on there, but not in the main menu. Every once in a while I get an itching for some paradroid....
