Rowe CD-100 Blown fuse? Lights on, CD player quit working..
« on: September 17, 2014, 11:43:28 am »
I just bought my first Jukebox last week, a Rowe CD-100, and have been loving it.  Everything was working great except for the lights around the spinning CD display.

Having read several posts about this issue I wanted to check to make sure the wires were live before buying new bulbs.  I put my meter probe in the electrical terminal after I removed it from the board that the bulbs mount to and "POP" I think I bridged the connection (dang it!)..  Now none of the systems are working except for the florescent tube lights.

I looked around and I can't find any fuses. HELP?

The machine power transformer assembly is mounted on the back wall of the jukebox and inside the amplifier compartment. There are three red LED's on that assembly that indicate the three main voltages the jukebox needs to operate. Chances are one or more of those LEDs will now NOT be lit. Which one(s) not lit?

After reading the service manual I found the fuse locations and checked them all, which were fine, and when I plugged it back in it worked.

I think it was just the jukebox's way of telling me to stay out!

Thanks for the help.  Now I've got to replace the bulbs without blowing the thing up  ;-)
