So it's not 4:3 (5:4) but it's pretty damn close. GREAT viewing angles because it's IPS (178x178) Dell P190S and P1914S 19 inch VGA, DVI, Display Port, USB hub built into it. 100 day warranty. Manufacturer refurbished. Seems to be a great choice for budget cab builders if you can't find anything decent on Craiglist..... http://www.dfsdirectsales.com/edealinv/servlet/ExecMacro?nurl=control%2FBrowseCatalog.vm&eurl=control%2FBrowseCatalog.vm&rurl=control%2FBrowseCatalog.vm&ctl_nbr=641&query=&queryType=&path=c641-def-USD-230%23%23-1%23%23-1~~c641-def-USD-57130%23%233%23%23at~~c641-def-USD-57131%23%230%23%232~~nc641-def-USD-57137%23%230%23%2337&offset=0&hits=50&maxperpage=&sortby=%2Bprice http://www.dfsdirectsales.com/StoreCatalog/ctl641/cp57137/si6630647/cl1/dell_professional_p1914s_flat_panel_monitor_with_led?offset=0&isLaptop=N EDIT: P190S has 5 MS delay. Would probably be a better choice for a build. |

$70 For a refurbished 19" is a bit high -- Esp once you add the $20 shipping and $8 tax - they want. Figure I just recently bought a Dell 1908FP from Arrowdirect.com for $32 shipped when they had a 50% off coupon code the other week and a 2001FP (which is also an IPS screen but 20.1" 1600x1200 ) for $38 shipped. Unfortunately the sale ended so you would have to wait for another coupon code (right now they offer 40% off of and free shipping Lenovo products using "Dealnews" code) so if you can find a lenovo brand monitor from them it's a pretty good deal if you are looking for one. (currently all they have a widescreens but they get stock all the time.) |

Did not see the shipping charges, and yes, that does kill the deal a bit. I just haven't seen any decent non-widescreen IPS panels in a while anywhere. |

You should double check because I believe the P190S is a TN panel. At least the ones I've purchased in the past are. I know Dell used to be in the habit of mixing different panel types under the same model number. However, If you are looking for a good 19" IPS panel I did find one that is currently being made, the LG 19MB35. It is a commercial monitor, but you can get it at newegg for $160 new. I did buy one and it is inface a IPS panel with awesome views from all angles. And it looks much better than the PVA panel it just replaced! I mentioned it in the thread on the monitor forum here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,141208.0.html |
