RGB Illuminated pushbutton outer ring with solid plunger?
Jakobud:
In my future cabinet I'm planning on doing RGB LED buttons. However I remember seeing some buttons someone did where they used a translucent pushbutton and replaced the middle plunger with a normal opaque color button so that only the outer ring is what lights up. Anyone have links to this or some video on how it looks, etc?

The Beast.
Now everybody has the luxury of buying them already assembled through Paradise Arcade.

Great. Now they do. I wish i would have thought to ask for that.
You are welcome to look at my cp to see what the buttons look like without an LED in them.
PL1:
It would be nice to have black-rimmed LED (either single-color or RGB) admin buttons with diffusers and decent-sized inserts that are close to the same profile as the player buttons instead of these sawed-off volcano-wannabe's. :(
You can mix-and-match IL buttons, but the insert size is 56% smaller -- 0.640" (0.321536 sq. in.) instead of 0.850". (0.5671625 sq. in.)
How hard can it be to get the body of the buttons that almost every vendor carries (below) cast in black plastic? (No new mold needed.) :soapbox:

Wait.... the illuminated buttons are a different profile than the standard arcade buttons? I thought they were all the same profile??
Whose button is in the middle?
