That's some pretty clever engineering and the workmanship looks good. The art is well done, but not my style really.

What's the advantage of shared controls vs dedicated controls for each machine? It seems using this method, you'd only be able to play 1 game at a time? Also, does it break down for moving or is it a "permanent installation"

Usually someone gets torqued off when someone calls their cabinet an Arcade. This might be the first machine build I've seen that qualifies as an Arcade.

I don't understand the reasoning behind this at all.

Could you explain further?

Hello everyone and thanks for the interest you show.
The cabinet is a bit bulky but has four large wheels and moves quite easily.
the cabinet was created to satisfy my desire to have a single cabinet on which to be able to run most of the arcade as faithfully as possible. plus I wanted to occupy the time during the lockdown :)

I like it and the sliding controls are novel and clever, but...

Why didn't you just build 3 arcade machines?

Does this unseat the infamous "how to load MDF into my truck" thread?

Stupidest ---fracking--- thing I’ve ever seen on this forum.

Just for information..

since you are in the mood for easy irony

the YATTACAB is not my only cabinet

i also own the MAZINCAB.

a virtua space from 1995 with a PC inside

with Groovymame, demul, snes9x, supermodel, model2 emulator, teknoparrot etc. etc.

the monitor is a CRT 25KHZ (yes 25KHZ) and as a video card I use a radeon hd7970 with CRT emudrivers

and yes...

MAZINCAB and YATTACAB are connected in LAN
and if I want I can play with 3 players at the same time as outrunners for example ...

I can’t decide if this is awesome or insane, or both.

I’m going to go with both.  Nice work.
