USB2GUN Board Production Run: Gauging Interest for Light Gun Board

<< < (9/11) > >>

Endprodukt:
Neither.  I've read the manual. It has a connector for the power supply.

TapeWormInYourGut:
Ok, I googled and found an America's Army manual which uses this board and got the info I needed. It appears that this works very poorly with Namco guns according to what other posts are saying. Either the recoil is screwed up or the tracking is off. So this might be a happ-only thing, but I don't really like the happ guns. I am not really sure that I would go for this unless i know that Namco guns will work.

Endprodukt:
Getting the recoil on Namco Guns to work is the same as with happ.

I've only seen one guy testing it with a Namco gun. I absolutely prefer Namco Guns over happ, too. I don't see why they shouldn't track correctly.

TapeWormInYourGut:
We probably saw the same video, but the calibration looked way off. I doubt that the guy hadn't calibrated the gun either. It probably wouldn't have registered the positions even remotely correctly if it wasn't, which leads me to believe that the tracking is bad. Plus other posts about it talk mention how the brightness needs to be set high for it to register correctly.

Endprodukt:
Brightness is connected to Guns that are originally positional Gun games. Hence why the screen is flashing with actual lightgun games.

Since that dude never posted again we can't know if it's possible to get Namco Guns working. Problem is that mine are modded to work with aimtraks.
