Did you set it so the headers stay? I preferred to just put the column headers on the page itself instead of in the file.

Animated gifs for the background?  You can design this as HTML

It would be cool to see the light flicker on the wall of Rablacks background

Yeah, I'd remove them. Otherwise they'll show up when scrolling even if headers are there.

I have everything working but one thing. The google spreadsheet (high scores) scrolls for about 5 secs and starts over from the beginning. It's an endless cycle.

Are you pushing it out to a client, or previewing it?

What are your settings when you edit the proprieties of the gadget?  Specifically the scroll by settings here:

Your issue is the data refresh, its set for 5 sec by default....

Change that field to a high number like Eric and it will work.

Mine is set for 10 seconds, and I don't have that issue.

The only time I see an issue like that is if I am previewing a screen. If I'm running the screen on an actual client, I have no issue.  :dunno

I think we can hash this out!

I thought the data refresh was the amount in seconds that it polled the googly spreadsheet.

What is everyones "scroll by" setting?

Are you guys sending the scoreboard to a remote client, or are you running it on your primary machine? Just wondering. I send mine to a client, and it runs just fine. If I do the in-browser preview on my main computer, it only scrolls for 5 secs or so.

Primary machine here, I have mine set to 6000 and it fixed the scroll problem.  Primary machines require a longer refresh rate......

Not sure how you do the client thing....

Also not sure if any of you know this, but if you add the headers to the file.  The headers become interactive by way of sort.  You can sort by any column, if you place your mouse over the column name it hightlights and then when you click it sorts ascending and descending.

Log into your RiseVision account on the client machine, go to Displays, and click on [Download Player]. Install the Player software on your client, then follow the directions for registering the client as a part of your network. The network ID and Claim ID are under your "Company" settings. Once you do that, you can send the info out to your stand-alone player(s).

Cool, share it when you do.

My backgrounds are desktop-resolution jpg files with the background boxes drawn on. I then place the gadgets and size them to fit the background image.

The sign is a really cool idea.
