bartoparcades
« on: August 05, 2014, 12:52:03 pm »
I recently purchased a cocktail cabinet from bartop arcades.

All of the communication was done via this website, email, and FB Messenger.

All of Ed's communication was very fast, to the point, and accurate.

I chose to order a cocktail cabinet with a Steelers logo engraved on the side. I also chose to have 6 buttons and 1 joystick per side, with P1 and P2 start on the P1 panel.

I ordered on the cabinet, not accessories.

At one point Ed's CNC machine broke and needed repaired. This set the build back a week or so. No big deal, since I was still speccing out the rest of the machine.

Then Ed went on vacation. No big deal, another week delay.

I think it was about 3 months before the cabinet shipped. I am a patient person, so this didn't bother me. But my client was getting madder and madder.

The cabinest arrived a few days later, but it was missing the control panels, and the pedestal base. A quick message to Ed, and he had them shipped the next day. Plus he added some goodies for my trouble. He added t-molding, and the control panel lock down clips.

I never received the control panel clips, but the t-molding came quickly.

I am nearing the end of building the cabinet, and I noticed that the panel with the Steelers logo is built upside down (the batton is on the wrong side).

I also found out that there is no panel that covers the edge of the cabinet under the glass where the 2 control panels are.

I am very happy with the build quality of the cabinet, and overal pretty satisfied with the length of time it took to ship, due to it having custom parts (the logo). I am also pretty satisfied that all of the "mistakes" were handled well, and quickly.

I am planning to buy a bartop cocktail cabinet, so I will be looking Ed up when they $$$ comes in.

Yeah, I'm not sure your "good experience" post has had the intended effect.  >:D

It wasn't intended to be good or bad.

I just wanted to post me experience.

In my case, I gave plenty of time due to custom engraving.

yeah I had a few issues come up....I do work a real 50 hour a week job, 2 young kids and a wife....so sometimes there is a delay.

I did send free stuff to compensate. I build these 1 at a time.....not 6 at a time

That is correct. All of the freebies (except the lockdowns) were received. Thank you!

And now he's devolved into a scammer.  Hope that $50 was worth it, ebarlow99
