Well, I can find the marque and the control panel on Ebay. So that would leave the PCB, possibly coin mechanical parts, and put a new power supply. If the monitor doesn't work, I could replace it or fix it's boards. I saw a youtube video with a guy that put in a cap kit as well as a couple more parts into a Galaxian monitor. I am a bit of a novice at this, so what else am I missing? |

If you do go 60 in 1, the monitor can be replaced with a PC monitor (CRT or LCD) which while less authentic, is much easier for a novice. I know you say its not working, are you powering it up with the back door off? There is an interlock power switch there (usually white) just pull it out if the door is off and it'll allow the game to power up. its the switch half way up on the right: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,135365.msg1397706.html Also, your bezel is Galaxian and not Galaga  |

So unless I am mistaken, I can't test the switch or the power without it. |

Here is a question for you folks. Will the PCB from the Cocktail version of Galaxian work in the upright? I found a tested working one for about $100, and that is really tempting to get, but I would like to know if it would work first. Thanks! |

Ok, I found this Marque off of Ebay, and its on its way! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Galaxian-Marquee-/291189619119?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=41rPPVewug4rdpSHzbjL5Fk3HFo%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc $22.50 shipped for the Original Marque seems like a good deal to me! I might have to replace it one day with a new one, but for now, I think it should work and give the cabinet that aged survivor look to it. |
