Help with directional keys

Richardgregory:

Ok, I am using MAMEUI64 and suddenly whenever I tap the right directional key or move the joystick right, the options come up to change volume, etc.....

I've reset all options to default to no help.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Never mind...figured it out.  Somehow or someone went around and mucked around with the configuration keys.  ARGH!

. . . and this is why many people recommend not having a dedicated "TAB" button and disabling the shifted function for it, too.

If you already have a dedicated menu button, you can add a concealed SPST switch inline with the button to disable it when you aren't configuring the system.  SPST shown in "disabled" (open) position.

Thanks, but the second part of that sentence is the landmine that most I-Pac/Mini-Pac users forget to defuse.

Never underestimate the ability of kids or drunk friends to accidently trigger the shifted functions you forgot to disable.  :o
