LOL, thanks for the tip!   However, I was almost expecting to see a bunch of screenshots or a vid on how to block a certain user who writes nonsensical novels for posts.   ;D

No, but I used to brush off blocking like "that's stupid and wont change anything" but man was I wrong. The toxicity of the threads I was in was instantly removed. I hope the person everyone knows I blocked , well I wish he'd block me too, I'd welcome it.

^This.
If you don't see his posts, you don't need to engage in his dribble.

I briefly had Howard on my ignore, but I came to realize he actually does bring some value to this forum, and I do kinda like him even though we can get into it from time to time.  But Drake brings nothing of value with his posts. It's all "waaah, the usual suspects this, the cool kids that... they're are ruining my BYOAC experience" ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---. In the 200 some odd posts it's constant complaining about acceptance, inclusion, and attacks on established contributing members. It really gets old.

Just some value huh?  ;)  I like you too man, but right now you've been a little difficult to get along with.  That's entirely on me though.  I'm going through a lot and trying to keep myself together is making me emotionally fragile.  It's not fair of me to ask but right now everyone is going to have to be patient with me.

Some people just don't get me either.  I type the way I talk and while it sounds fine in person it sometimes comes off as confrontational on the page.  I try to be conscious of it, but if it's 3 am and I'm still up due to insomnia the filters aren't exactly engaged.

If I'm getting on anyone else's' nerves though by all means block me.  I don't want to cause any grief to anyone and likewise I don't want to be on the receiving end either.

I've got to think that thsi place is mostly full of good people though... I came here nearly 20 years ago looking for technical info and I am still here.

Yeah, meeting the guys in person really changed my view of them. Like Mike A for instance, the guy is super nice in person, really pleasant to hang out with. But on the forums he reads and grumpy and blunt.  All the "usual suspects" I met IRL are super great guys, and it was really comfortable to just kick it with them and playing NES games after the convention hours.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for taking interest in our cause.  If you would please refer to this link I think you will be pleasantly surprised with what we have to offer.  In the future we hope that you continue to use BYOAC and are pleased with the results.

There used to be a way to look at someone's profile and it'd tell you how many people had them blocked.  There probably still is, but there used to be, too.

I think my other persona set the high score at 9.
