| ArcadeVGA - which one is this? |

My Arcadevga card died -- no picture gets to my monitor. No worries as I had another lying around. I've attached pictures and both cards are identical. I decided it was time to migrate away from XP, so I got a new SSD HD, installed win 7 64bit and then went to install the drivers for my arcadevga card. I don't have the CD that came with it, so i tracked down drivers here: http://www.ultimarc.com/avgadrivers.html First question is, Which card is this? X550 or HD2400? I tried both of the PCIe drivers, starting with the x550, but neither of them work. The ATI catalyst install utility installs and completes fine, but the driver shows as standard generic VGA driver and there are only two resolutions available. 800X600 and 640X480. Gameex crashes when I start it, probably because the drivers aren't correct. What am i missing? Thanks, Dean |

I had this same issue because i was installing the wrong drivers. I mistakenly thought I had a 3000 when it was in fact a 5000. however as I recall the 5000 don't have a fan. Andy should certainly be able to help, he's answered a million of my stupid questions even when I'm sure he was rolling his eyes as he responded. |

Thanks guys. And thanks Andy for always being so great with support. I tried the 3000 drivers and it works ;-) I guess i have a 3000 version! |

let me know if you get it totally working in mame. I'm still having an issue with it grabbing the correct resolution. although I havent messed with it in a week or two. restoring 3 different arcade cabs so I'm getting that worked on while the weather is nice. pretty sure I'm missing something simple but any words from those who have gone before me are certainly helpful |
