Yeah I'm confused, figured it was just a little blog post, but Wired too?? |

What did he expect?! I could have predicted that one. Girls always be hating on a guys toys. The worst possible thing you could do is take your fun stuff and put them in the house. And bedroom is a woman's domain. I actually started my project because my ex girlfriend loved video games, and I thought it would be a nice way to have fun together. She left me right as I started for other unfortunate reasons. Not in a hurry to finish now. I could care less about playing video games. This project is very cool though, and I'm having fun building it. I probably won't use it when I'm finished. |

I typically really like the Wired game reporting (especially the Chris Kohler stuff), but yeah, kind of a middling article. With only 3-4 arcade forums of note (that I am aware of) and the hobby growing (at least from what I can tell from the prices/demand of things) I assume BYOAC will make it into many more mainstream news sites. If nothing else I can link to the articles on Facebook to show my family that while I am weird, there are other weird people out there, too. And I continue to believe that anyone who blames losing a significant other to their hobby is covering for other relational issues, or chose that significant other very poorly to begin with. |

Girls don't mind guys hobbies. Girls just don't want a guy who's hobby seems to be the most important thing in their life, maybe even more important than her. When I was young, my father bought be a new kdx220 dirt bike for cheap. It was used only 3 times. The guy loved it so much that he kept it in the living room and polished it clean after each ride. His girl was so pissed that she said to choose her or the bike. He choose the bike. A month and a half later, he said he would sell the bike and she moved back in. He should have just kept it in a shed or garage. |

Remind me why we all hate this guy so much? (Aside from not dumping the rom on his FF Jr Cab) |
