Setting to get Battle Gear 3 running in PCSX2
« on: May 26, 2014, 04:11:33 pm »
I finally found the settings needed to get Battle Gear 3 running on pcsx2. If you try to load the game with default setting or preset setting the game will load fine but one you're on the track you will sink underneath the floor and of course the game is not playable. I tried different isos and they all did the same thing.

Yesterday, i came across a youtube video of BG3 playing just fine and looked at his setting. He recommend a ton of steps modifying the setting but, after trial and error, i finally found the actual setting the affects the floor being quicksand. in emulation settings =>VUs Settings=> set clamping mode to either extra or extra + preserve sign. once this is selected, the game is 100% playable.

PS I dont know what this does so I do not know if [extra] is better or is [extra + preserve sign] is better

example of quicksand (clamping mode set to default "normal")

Settings page (set to extra or extra + preserve sign)

Finally playable
