--- Quote from: JDFan on May 30, 2014, 10:26:57 am ---Those are even more expensive -- They do make 16:3 displays that would be close to that like this 28 inch stretch ultras wide ( http://www.caltronind.com/digital-signage/lcd-display/sd-281-28-inch-ultra-wide-stretch-digital-signage-display ) that is [29.06 x 6.93 x 2.15 inch] overall dimension so the display is probably close to 27x6 !! but they are probably over $2000 (figure a 19 inch 16:3 panel runs $1550 -- http://www.frontierpc.com/displays/monitors/lcd-monitor/viewsonic/extreme-wide/ew1930-widescreen-lcd-monitor-1020144880.html ) --- End quote --- My build is already costing me about double what i expected so I'm just going to leave this one in my dreams... |

What about the plastic trim for frp panels? I just used some on mine. Or perhaps J-bead for drywall? A little spray paint for either and you'd be all set. |

Thanks for the reps, chaps + especially for the embarrassingly intuitive link, JDFan (my brain gets more diffuse and missing-the-obvious with age!) Now, of course... I really, really, really, really, really want one of those 16:3 displays! Of course - they're gonna cost a fortune new, but my understanding is that these are mainly used for shop/promotional/show displays? So surely, there must be some peddler out there of ex-displays @ bargain prices. However, if the tech is still quite new, guessing these still will be pricey... Awwww... I want one!! DeLuSioNaL29 - where's this vid from?? |

I have hinges on the top of my cab so you can just open up the top and pull out the marquee which just slips into a slot on each side |
