Dimensions mainly ok though, long leg of the J needs to be a little shorter, but could always trim.

OK.. onto more sourcing - exactly the same, but in black aluminum...

Similar item - same store - aluminum ( http://www.wetwallsandceilings.co.uk/products/product.php?categoryID=8&productID=79 )

Search "Ultra wide screen monitor" -- Newegg has an LG 25" ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005626&cm_re=Ultra_widescreen_monitor-_-24-005-626-_-Product )which is probably a bit smaller than the one used in the video for $299 and they go up from there quickly as the size increases (ie. 29" run around $500 - $800)

Aren't they ultimately designed for desktop use though? The one used in the Youtube video looks too small to be of much desktop use... unless I've got my sense of scale way off!

Be good to find one thats 27" by 6"! That'd fit in nicely ;)

Those are even more expensive -- They do make 16:3 displays that would be close to that like this 28 inch stretch ultras wide ( http://www.caltronind.com/digital-signage/lcd-display/sd-281-28-inch-ultra-wide-stretch-digital-signage-display ) that is [29.06 x 6.93 x 2.15 inch] overall dimension so the display is probably close to 27x6 !! but they are probably over $2000 (figure a 19 inch 16:3 panel runs $1550 -- http://www.frontierpc.com/displays/monitors/lcd-monitor/viewsonic/extreme-wide/ew1930-widescreen-lcd-monitor-1020144880.html )
