That's great i am glad i could help :cheers: I ended up placing the diode the same way as the diagram i attached in my first post, And its was simply in my draw of parts i have soldered off things, i believe it is marked 12 C3. I hope the next guy will find it this easy too, because i read through the other forum PL1 where you helped InfantSorrow with something very similar and it looks like he went to a lot of trouble in putting in a relay. |

D'oh. Just realized that you're using a Xin-Mo which is active-low device like an IPac, and not an active-high device like the ZD encoder that InfantSorrow used -- that's why he needed the relay. :embarassed: Found two 12c3 zener diode datsheets -- they are 14v diodes instead of 5v diodes. :o You may be damaging your encoder by using that diode. :dunno A "5c1" might be a better choice. (datasheet for General Semiconductor/"GZ" Zener diodes here) Scott |
