Maximus arcade and atomiswave (demul)
« on: April 20, 2014, 08:24:06 pm »
 ???hello

Please could some one help, there is a tutorial for my issue but it was quiet some time ago and the links are dead.
I use maximus arcade and have a number of unsupported emulators on there. I havent seemed to manage to get atomiswave in demul up and running on there it looks a little more complicated involving ahk files and additional settings.ini.

I would love to get atomiswave up and running and if someone can help that would be fantastic.

Some one also suggested to use hyperlaunch then point maximus towards that? Dont know if this would work i would have to try it.

Anyones help is appreciated and thank you in advance

I would try posting in the Hyperspin forums.  The new Hyperlaunch does indeed support other frontends, altough I have not tried it myself.

Good Luck!

Hello,

First excuse my english, if I do some mistake, i'm French.

I use Demul only for Atomiswave, like you I was looking for some solution with th ahk files and all the other files, doesn't work for me.

So I use the command line for Atomis and it's work like a charm.

- In maximus, took an emulator you won't use (commodore 64 for example)
- Configure the executable, roms path, snap... with the demul.exe path, roms, and other stuff you want
- In the command line put: -run=atomiswave -rom=%name
- In the scan tab put: .zip
- In the exit tab, check: close additional processes and also Close specific processes, and put demul.exe just under close the specific procceses.

Work fine for me, exiting and re-launch fine.

Hope it's helping.

Hey sayito :dunno

Ive tried your method and its got me further than anything else ive tried. I have set it you like you said and when i click on a game in maximus it takes me to the atomiswave game select in demul. I think i may be sometime to do with the command line. Could you please just confirm the command line please.

Once again thank you for your help

Hi Again

First, I use demul V0.5.8.2, there is my config:

I put a big loading screen time because it take 5 to 7sec to load game.

Or you can also try this in a command windows:

This should run the game (metal slug 6 here)
