Maximus Arcade intro movie
« on: April 10, 2014, 10:46:21 am »
Hello all,

I have one simple question, my videos are loading nice inside de MAME emulator for example, but i cant start an intro video at the startup.

Ive enable the option "startup movie active" and ive choose a video in the right format and resolution wich is working 100% outside maximus front-end...

When i restart the computer, the first time that Maximus starts e can see the video startup for just a second, and then he goes off... this is so confusing... Ive another computer and is working nice....

Ive already install a lot of codecs, but nothing sems to work, any tip please?

Regards

We need more info.  What version of Maximus are you using?  What OS?

Also, what file type are you trying to play down?  Maximus is finicky with what it plays down.  Just because it plays down outside of the Frontend doesn't mean it will play within Maximus.  If it's an .FLV file for example, Maximus may or may not play it down properly depending of what version the .flv file was encoded with.

My suggestion, try playing down a different intro video to see if it works.  Then you can narrow it down to the codec incompatibilities in Maximus (it uses old codecs since it hasn't been updated in ages).  Then try converting the video that you want to a more generic video format, such as .wmv.
