Marquee size

Hey all,

I am still in the gathering supplies phase of my project. I've run into yet another roadblock with the marquee.

Because of my build using a 32'' lcd screen, I need a marque bracket that's over 30 inches.  Technically I need one that is 30.7 inches.  The problem is the largest i've seen in 30". If I get that one. I'll have .35 inches of space on each side of the marquee's bracket.

.35" isn't a lot but it might look tacky. Any ideas?

I just saw this on ebay yesterday during a totally unrelated search and was thinking it may be a great marquee moulding option. It's dirt cheap (before shipping) so it seems worth a try. You'd just have to drill some mounting holes.

Don't use a 32 inch widescreen TV?  :laugh2:

But seriously, go to Home Depot and see if they have aluminum angle iron in a size you can use. It's lightweight, easy to drill and easy to paint. I use it for my bartops.

As always thanks guys.

I just decided to shrink the cabinet down to fit the 30" marque.

and yeah lol. 32 inch screen is probably blasphemy to some arcade makers, but I still like the idea :)

Or if you intend to paint it black, just get a black plastic angle. :)
