| Ikari warrior/ rotator joystick |
| (1/1) |
| istorch:
haven't played enough, but hopeful someone might have a quick answer. I was thinking about rotary controls, but instead can games like ikari warrior be mapped to a keystroke for rotate right and left, so i can use a regular joystick plus a "rotate right" "rotate left" and punch/ kick buttons in a street fighter like setup? is it worth purchasing rotating joys with ultimarc adapter for a handful of games or can I just do something like this? |

There are ways to work around rotary joysticks like this. If you do get rotary joysticks, the Ultimarc rotary interface is plug-and-play for the rotary part, but you will also need to get an encoder for the joystick part. If you want a keyboard-style encoder, the KADE is a great choice. If you want a gamepad-style encoder the GP-Wiz40 is a great choice. Be sure to adjust the MAME settings for rotary sticks here.
