Donkey Kong Bartop
« on: March 06, 2014, 07:34:22 pm »
Here is a Bartop machine I have been working on over the last few months with a Donkey Kong Theme.  I made it from a flat pack that a fellow Aussie Member was selling.  Had to modify it a bit to suite my bits and pieces.  I designed the artwork from scratch using the great free vector art on the arcade art library.  All art was done using inkscape.  I have also actually done matching art in a Popeye, Burgertime and pacman theme so may do another bartop later.

It was a lot of planning and a good learning experience but I am very happy with the final result.  I still have to wire it all up and mount all the internals.  The Marquee is reverse printed on translucent material and stuck to the back side of the plexi.  I have an LED strip light I plan on mounting behind to light it up.  Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze a PC and power supply in the cab as it is short on space!  The knobs on the top are for voume, bass and treble.  The buttons on top are for power on and to disable the menu in Mamewah front end.  The LCD is a 17" and seems to fit the size of the cab nicely.

I love Radar Scope's art. The Control Panel and Bezel is so awesome, it's like being in the cockpit!
