| Aimtrak Lightgun Issue |

Hi, I have my light gun working fine. Using the latest ver of Mame, Hyperspin, etc. Sat morning I booted my system up and the light gun wasn't tracking on screen. I went into edit the input on the game I had loaded and when I reset the 'Lightgun Analog X' it assigned it as 'gun 3' (from gun 1.) I went back out and loaded up Ultimarc Aimtrak and it was still showing up as Input 1. I re-assigned it to Input 1, just to see and rebooted the system. When I got back into a game, it was now 'gun 4.' I went through re-booting a few times without changing anything and it want back and forth from gun 3 to gun 4. Note, I never changed anything before this all started. Now, Monday, I've tried re-booting a few times and it's staying to gun 3. It never changed in UltimAimtrak from Input 1 and is still showing up that way. I guess it may be a weird PC issue I'm having or something... Any suggestions on why it may have changed gun #'s and what I could try to get it back to gun 1? Thanks!! |

It's to do with the way in which windows assigns ID's to usb devices. Try plugging it into a different usb that is on its own controller, e.g. plug only your gun in to the front or rear usb ports and plug any other devices into the others. You may find it loses the ID once in a while, don't change it again just reboot and it should be back. My config sticks on 90% of bootups. |

Ok, I will try that. And now that I think about it, when it happened and I was working through trouble shooting and I changed the USB connection a few times. That makes sense! Thanks Connorsdad! |
