Trackball alignment
«

I haven't been able to find this question answered online, so I thought I'd seek wisdom here.
I have a used 60-in-1 trackball (photo at
http://www.austinamusements.com.au/other-spare-parts/trackball/60-in-1-trackball-3-trackball/prod_209.html
) that I'm trying to fit in my cab. Does it matter what direction the trackball alignment is? I have no idea which direction it is supposed to face. Am I supposed to mount it the same way it shown in the photo, flipped around, etc.?
Apologies if this question has already been answered. Thanks!

IIRC, you can look at the data wires.
Blue and Purple -- data pair for X axis (turns the roller perpindicular to the monitor)
Green and Yellow -- data pair for Y axis (turns the roller parallel to the monitor)

Thank you. After further thought, I'm just going to have one panel on my cocktail be a trackball only. I wanted to fit two buttons, a trackball and joystick on one panel, but that seems like it would be too crowded.
