| Problem with GP-Wiz or maybe emulator |

I am using ePSX and it seems that certain ports in my GP-Wiz arent recognized as inputs. This does not seem to be a problem in MAME. Any idea why this would happen? If i move the connections for buttons that arent working, I can find ports that do work. So it's either something with the specific ports im using (are they all keyboard functions?), or the emulator. |

Haven't used that emu specifically, but if the GP-Wiz is working fine with MAME then it sounds like ePSX doesn't let you map certain keyboard keys as inputs. That's just my guess though without knowing much about your setup or that particular emulator. |

It sounds like ePSX, is giving you the problem. What version of ePSX are you using? The GP-Wiz40 is seen as a joystick/usb gamepad controller on the pc. Is it the higher number connections on the interface giving you a problem in ePSX? In mame there is never any problem mapping what ever I want to for the GP-Wiz. :) or other PC games & emus I have played. So far, SSFIV Arcade ed. is the only thing I had come across that was picky about one of my buttons and that was something being done for the menu & it was on connection #21. Then mapped to another one. I will have to try ePSX on this controller but I guarantee it is ePSX. In your game controller properties in windows for the GP-Wiz. What button numbers are they for ePSX not working? |

Well I just tried ePSX 1.9.0 and had no problem mapping the GP-Wiz. The only button that would not map was my coin button which is on #21 on the interface. I have that on #21 because it close to were I needed it. All of my other buttons go in order on the GP-Wiz interface for the 2 player setup #'s 1-15. All of them mapped fine. So you must have some inputs on high #'s on the interface. Pic 1 is the GP-Wiz mapped. |

Thanks for testing. Yea i figured it was the emulator not allowing certain buttons... on the GP-Wiz, what is the corresponding button with superscript? like R1? |
